We can use silicone or saline implants to augment the size of your breasts. Breast augmentation can also be used to even out a size difference between your breasts or to reconstruct a breast that has been removed due to mastectomy or other causes. Some of the most common reasons that women seek breast augmentation surgery include:

Breast augmentation surgery can be performed in several different ways. At your consultation, Dr. Wiesman will discuss the available options, and together, you will determine the best method to achieve the desired result while minimizing scar visibility. The incisions may be made either around the areola, in the armpit, or in the crease beneath the breast. The implant is then inserted either behind or in front of your chest muscle. Dr. Wiesman positions the implant for the most natural-looking enhancement. We won’t be satisfied until you love your new, shapely bust, and we’ll work with you every step of the way to ensure optimal results.

A breast implant is a prosthesis that consists of a fluid or gel-like solution formulated to simulate the look and feel of natural breast tissue. It is used primarily to alter and enhance the shape, texture, and size of a woman’s breast. Implants are placed either above or below the muscle in the chest, depending on the type of implant used, your body type, and the desired result. In order to place the implants, incisions may be made under your natural breast, around the areola, or in the armpit. Dr. Wiesman will talk with you about your individual desires, expectations, concerns, and body type to formulate a treatment plan that best fulfills your unique needs.

Although women in their 30s are the most common patients, many who are into their 40s and 50s can also have the treatment with good results. No matter your stage in life, it’s best to schedule a consultation to ensure they are the right treatment for you.

Should I wait until I’m done having children?

Your breasts natural change in shape and size with pregnancy. As a result, the changes can alter the cosmetic appearance of any breast augmentation procedure. It’s best to wait at least 6 months after surgery before becoming pregnant. Don’t worry, many women can still breastfeed with implants.

Why are breast implants placed below the muscle?

Breast implants are placed below the muscle because it creates a more natural look and feel. Research also shows the implant can stay softer for longer. In addition, it won’t obstruct the view for mammography’s, so you don’t need to worry about them potentially delaying the detection of breast cancer.
