Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation can also be used to even out a size discrepancy between your breasts or even to reconstruct a breast that has been removed due to mastectomy or other causes.
Breast augmentation surgery can be performed in several different ways. At your consultation, your surgeon will discuss the options that are available, and together, you will determine the best method to achieve the best result while minimizing scar visibility. The incisions may be made either around the areola, under the arm, or in the crease beneath the breast. The implant is then inserted either behind or in front of your chest muscle. The doctor positions the implant for the most natural-looking enhancement and then closes the incisions with stitches. The procedure should take one to two hours, and the incisions should be healed and the stitches out in a week to 10 days.
